Acute Home Care Nurse (london)

Full Time Permanent (Flexible hrs available)

Working inconjunction with the NHS we are looking to recruit full time Nurses to join a Hospital at Home Nursing Team, which will be based across several locations in and around the London area.

Nurses will undertake patient assessments on hospital sites and provide acute nursing care to patients in their own homes. This role will be responsible for the treatment and care of patients referred to by the NHS & Private sector. All patient will remain under the care of the Hospital and not the PCT. This position includes some evening (not nights) and weekend work, including participation in an on-call rota.
We are also able to offer a flexible working week, for nurses with other committments.


Qualifications & Experience

RGN 1st Level
Evidence of continuing professional development
At least 3 years post registration/adaptation experience
Current experience with IV treatment/therapy
Current experience with venepuncture and Cannulation
Experience of working autonomously
Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing
Ability to work well as part of the team and be flexible
Care & Management of PICC & Hickman Lines
Vacc Therapy (Vac Pumps)
Wound Care/Management
Skills

Ability to demonstrate own initiative thinking
Flexibility
Able to cope with ambiguity
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Time management Skills


A confident, outgoing manner and a highly flexible approach to the working week are essential attributes required for this role.


Candidates must have NMC Registration with a strong clinical background in A&E, HDU, Community or Critical Care with a proven ability to develop good working relationships.
