JP Recruit currently have 2 vacancies for Resident Medical Officers to join a well established, highly reputable 170-bed hospital located in the South Manchester area. The RMO will support the Consultants in patient care and management within both inpatient and outpatient settings. In the addition, the RMO will provide clinical direction for the ward nursing staff and ensuring high standards of patient care are adhered to at all times in accordance with the hospitals agreed operational policies. The role will promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients and hospital personnel. Previous experience in an acute surgical/medical setting is vital to this role and the ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 months experience working in the UK. The RMO is required to maintain Professional indemnity insurance if required above the hospital shared scheme. Applicants must be familiar with IV/IM/PO drug prescription/administration and up to date with IV cannulation. Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications: •Must have a Degree in Medicine (MB.Ch.B, MBBS, MD etc.) •Must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a Licence to Practise in the UK •UK Experience is essential •ALS/ACLS certification, preferably also with PALS/EPLS •Up to date clinical experience and skills in the acute medicine/surgical setting •Must have at least 6 months of recent paediatric experience •A&E/ER or General Practice experience is highly desirable •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Interpersonal skills. •Attendance of mandatory training sessions •Highly energetic, proactive and motivated to deliver high standards of medical care •Proficient in obtaining IV access •Good knowledge of drug actions and interactions An excellent package awaits the successful applicant, including competitive salary of circa £44,635k per annum, up to 30 days annual leave, Private Healthcare, Pension, Child Care Vouchers if applicable and Discounted Gym Membership.
