Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist - Cheshire

A well established Oncology Suite requires a Clinical Nurse Specialist within a Private Hospital in Cheshire.

Working within a specialist area, the successful candidate must provide the highest quality of nursing care to patients receiving treatment for various cancers.

We are looking for someone who has ideally worked within a similar setting, whether currently or previously. Have a sound knowledge of oncology, and can show evidence of assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating patients care within a multi disciplined team.

You will be expected to work a key member of the nursing team and liaise closely with other clinicians. Due to the sensitivity of this ward it is essential that successful candidate is an excellent communicator, is empathetic and compassionate and is able form relations with patients and their relatives. The ideal candidate will be an excellent decision maker with a vision to move the service forward and supporting the Consultants within the Oncology Suite.

The Oncology service has recently expanded so now is a great time to come on board as possible opportunities for career progression and development awaits the right candidate. The Oncology Suite will also provide an OUTREACH service to patients in their own homes and the role has an on call commitment.

Skills / Qualifications Required
•Valid NMC Registration.
•ENB 998 or equivalent.
•ENB 237 or other relevant Post Graduate Oncology qualification
•Knowledge of NMC Professional Codes and an awareness of hospital policies and procedures.
•Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
•Articulate and knowledgeable about current health care issues.
•Evidence of competency in area of practice.
•Evidence of clinical competency in chemotherapy administration and management of Oncology patients clinical needs.

Salary for this role is between £28,000 - £38,000 per annum.
